In 2004 the company was founded K-1 ENGINEERING s.r.o. in Bratislava, the
capital city of the Slovak Republic. This company took over all production
road sport car, K-1 ATTACK ROADSTER, whose beginnings go back to 1991.
Together with a team of specialists from development, construction, design and
actual production of cars determined to build a strong brand that will be
recognized among sports car lovers and professionals.
Within two years, thanks to the hard work of each worker the company was able to produce quality products and certified production processes that have been certified by ISO 9001 quality certificate. Ing. Dick Kvetňanský and Mgr. Art. Juraj Mitro are two key partners, they create an integral part of the entire development team. They also could be called "fathers" of K-1 ATTACK ROADSTER.
Several dozens of cars were delivered to our clients all around the world. In the beginning it was Kit Cars and later the road cars, K-1 ATTACK ROADSTER were delivered to the following countries: USA, The Netherlands, Germany, Slovenia, Austria, United Arab Emirates and Russia. At present, terminating production in order thirty-first K-1 ATTACK ROADSTER is under the working title of F031.
In 2004, Ing. Dick Kvetňanský, as the main sponsor, delivered a specially modified, super light carbon-fiber vehicle ATTACK to University in Philadelphia. In cooperation with General Electrics and Boeing constructed a track car powered by soybean oil, which subsequently won the prestigious world competition “Tour de Sol” the fastest car with a hybrid power, which surpass the mark as Honda, Toyota, GM etc.
Production of cars K-1 ATTACK ROADSTER is placed in Devínska Nova Ves - one of the Bratislava city districts, with total hardware and team of experts and specialists. Their main target is to develop new models and offer customers high-quality sports cars.

philosophy
- Dick Kvetňanský establishes the company K-1 Styling and Tuning s.r.o., with the aim of manufacturing replicas of sports cars
- start of cooperation between Dick Kvetňanský and Juraj Mitro, the future main designer and constructor of the company, as the main goal, they set out a blueprint for their own original design for a future two-seater sports car
- the manufacturing of the sports car on the chassis of a Chevrolet Camaro under the name, EVOLUZIONE I and later EVOLUZIONE II
- the design of the future car was put forward in the same year, and work on its construction started
- the first ATTACK, based on a Kit Car, was shown to the world (this form of car sales as a “kit car“ is very common and successful abroad, especially in the USA - it makes up 2% of the entire US car industry)
- it means the sale of “folding cars” – the car is delivered in a box, dismantled, without an engine, wheels, front windscreen ect, and the customer builds it himself using all the delivered parts. The customer must buy mass produced parts for example Honda Accord 90 – 96 in any used or crashed state, from which he or she uses the drive train with all equipment necessary for engine management, and according to the DVD manual, assembles the parts (the components are delivered in a special container).
- work on the development of a prototype of a complete sports car under the name K-1 ATTACK ROADSTER with a Ford drive train, including the carrying out of all calibrations, tests and checks and permissions needed for homologation of the future car for usage on public roads start
- during this time the company continues manufacturing kit cars, the sales of which finance investments into developments
- K-1 ENGINEERING, s.r.o., is established, which takes over all tangible and intangible assets, including know-how, the taking over of contractual rights and agreements with suppliers and customers, patent rights and protection of trade marks
- the number of co-workers and staff increases, Ing. Branislav Škrabák, current head constructor, joins the team
- the strategic financial partner CI HOLDING, akciová spoločnosť, joins the company and cooperates with financing a large amount of the ongoing development
- it is the end of production of Kit Cars
- start of sales of K-1 ATTACK ROADSTER begins, each element re-worked or newly developed and nothing is identical to the original Kit car, from the construction and quality side, we are dealing with a totally new car
- the company signs a deal on business representation within the BENELUX countries, the contract is with our business partner, K-1 Sportscars Benelux B.V.
- production is moved to the premises of PRESSKAM in Devínska Nova Ves, where at the same time the preparation of a production line is running to implement repeated parts production o carrying out crash tests (seat belt and seat fastener and the seat itself)
- the company received ISO 9001 certification
- CI HOLDING, akciová spoločnosť increases its share in the company by buying up a number of shares in the base equity, through this it becomes the majority shareholder
- the company becomes known in the broader as well as informed public; publication of a road test in the most respected and influential motoring magazine, Auto Bild
- the owners of the company increase the base equity of the company by capitalization of their own receivables and CI HOLDING strengthened its position as majority shareholder.
